Loved Forever

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” (Revelation‬ ‭21:5 NIV‬)‬‬

Everything?

Bald spots. Discolored teeth. Diseased cells. Malignant tumors. Arthritic hips. Cataract infested eyes.

All things?

Anger. Malice. Jealousy. Rage. Envy.

Really?

Moles. Scars. Bunions. Hammer toes. Tennis elbow. Sports hernias. Clef lips. Enlarged prostates. Overactive thyroid glands. Root canals. Irregular heartbeats.

All things new?

Pigeoned toes. Varicose veins. Hangnails. Alopecia. Failed kidneys.

Seriously?

Polluted oceans. Toxic rivers. Ozone layer. Smog. Oil saturated beaches. Endangered species.

A L L  T H I N G S ?

Yep!

In the scripture at the top of the page, we see God giving His aged servant a glimpse of the future. A future where everything is restored the way it was intended to be. The beauty of this vision is that God shares it with you in mind! Notice His words, “write this down… it’s “trustworthy AND true” !

It’s a crazy thought --- the idea that He can make a better you. He’s done it before and even though we may have contributed to messing up and not taking the best care of His creation at first, He loves us enough to do it all over again.

It’s difficult to imagine at times. All the hurt and pain we’ve experienced will one day end. The splinters of life that agitate the soul will be removed. God hits the reset button and will change everything, including you. He doesn’t change you in order to love you. He changes you because He loves you.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV)
